About this excursion
Essaouira is a walled port town on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, north of Agadir. Its old medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its mix of ramparts, fishing harbour and whitewashed lanes makes it feel very different from Agadir’s modern seafront.
This day trip is guided by a local guide and leaves from Agadir early in the morning.
On the route
- Goats-in-the-argan-tree stop: argan trees grow in this part of Morocco, and goats are known to climb them. The stop is part of the trip, but what you see on the day cannot be promised.
- Free time in Essaouira: time of your own to explore the town. We have not fixed how long, so ask us if you need to plan around it.
What is included
Hotel pickup and a local guide. Meals and entrance fees are not part of the details we have confirmed, so ask us before you reserve if they matter to you.
Days and time
This trip runs only on the days shown at the top of this page. It runs on different days from the Marrakech and Taroudant trips, which makes it easy to combine them in one week.
Before you go
These are general suggestions, not conditions. Coastal towns can be breezy even on sunny days, so bring a light layer, sun protection and comfortable shoes for walking on old stone streets.
